Step 1: Visit LTA and Submit Your Application
1.1 Email help@lta.com.fj requesting a copy of the application, or download the Form from FTIP or the website of the Land Transport Authority
1.2 Fill out the Application carefully and attach all the required documents.
1.3 Submit all the necessary documentation and requirements for the first registration of the vehicle to the Vehicle Examination Officer (VEO/Vehicle Examiner)
1.4 LTA will review the application submitted. The Branch Manager informs you of the final decision regarding your registration application
1.5 If your application is approved, your approval letter, along with the registration documents, will be forwarded to the Customer Service Officer (CSO) for the next steps.
1.6 If the application is refused, you will be formally notified about the rejection with the reason

Required Documents
1. Application for Registration with a checklist form
2. Customs Entry stamped by Customs (must include chassis number)
3. Bill of Lading (Original or certified true copy by the shipping agent- must include chassis number)
4. Cancellation Certificate (if registered in the country of import)
5. Self-import license from Customs
6. Photograph of the unit (interior and exterior)
7. Manufacturer Specification
8. JEVIC certificate (Japanese import)
9. Request for registration letter
10. Statutory Declaration witnessed by J.P. declaring the following:
i) Which country was it imported from?
ii) Whether the unit was registered in that country
iii) That it will not be transferred within 5 years of registration
